N-iX, a global software solutions and engineering services company and an AWS Advanced Tier Services partner, has become an official AWS DevOps Competency Partner. This competency signifies that N-iX offers an array of services and software products aimed at streamlining infrastructure provisioning and management, application code deployment, software release automation, application and infrastructure performance monitoring, as well as seamless integration of security best practices, policies, and guardrails into CI/CD pipelines.
This is N-iX's second AWS competency, following its initial achievement of the AWS Data and Analytics Competency.
Achieving the AWS DevOps Competency required N-iX to undertake a thorough partnership validation process. The company passed a rigorous review by an external auditor, demonstrated its proficiency in delivering DevOps solutions on AWS and a list of successful client case studies.
N-iX’s project with Fluke Corporation, a US-based company that manufactures, distributes, and services electronic test tools and software for measuring and condition monitoring, was one of the submitted case studies.
N-iX has helped Fluke Corporation develop a brand-new enterprise mobile system using Java and hybrid mobile technologies based on Ionic, Cordova, AngularJS. The system is cross-platform, supporting both cloud and on-premises deployments. The system features a flexible update model by which about 90% of software updates happen without the need to reinstall the mobile app from the store.
The N-iX team provided the DevOps expertise and helped improve software development processes with CI/CD, monitoring, and the Git flow branching model.
N-iX's work with one of the UK's largest energy suppliers, serving nearly 5 million homes, was featured as another case study.
The client wanted to improve their business efficiency and streamline cooperation with their affiliated company by developing a single platform that could be used for managing boiler insurance operations.
N-iX has developed a new boiler insurance back-office platform from scratch using the microservices architecture. To align it with the existing technology stack, the team has migrated the architecture from MS Azure to AWS. All data from the client’s and the affiliated company’s systems was also migrated to the new platform. The N-iX DevOps engineers have established the Infrastructure as a Code approach. To accelerate the time-to-market of new features, the team has built several PoCs: Kubernetes usage, DevOps artifacts, and dependency management.
