N-iX, a global software solutions and engineering services company, has partnered with Just Join IT, Poland’s leading IT job portal, as the primary partner of the annual report "What About the Eldorado? 2024/2025 Earnings and Expectations of the IT Industry." The report provides an in-depth analysis of Poland’s IT market, offering valuable insights into salary trends, job demand, and workplace expectations.
The findings, derived from over 100,000 job postings in 2024 and survey responses from 1,660 IT professionals, paint a picture of an industry adjusting to challenges while embracing new realities.
- Despite a 9% decline in job offers compared to the previous year, the market shows signs of stabilization, with an increasing focus on senior-level roles and cutting-edge technologies such as AI, cloud computing, and data analytics.
- Flexible work arrangements remain a top priority, with most IT professionals favoring remote or hybrid work models.
The report also highlighted key insights into salary dynamics. Juniors saw the most significant pay increases in 2024, earning an average of 7,800 PLN (+4%) on UoP contracts and 9,125 PLN (+7.35%) on B2B agreements. However, seniors experienced a 2.86% reduction in average UoP salaries, earning 20,400 PLN, while their B2B rates remained stable at 24,360 PLN.
The report further highlights how companies are responding to industry shifts by shortening hiring cycles, prioritizing transparent compensation practices, and placing greater emphasis on soft skills alongside technical expertise. These changes reflect the evolving expectations of IT professionals and the increasing need for adaptable, forward-thinking teams.
“Global and local economic factors have significantly impacted the tech industry, prompting organizations to pause projects and tighten budgets. While this has led to a more cautious approach to hiring, recruitment forecasts show signs of stabilization, sparking cautious optimism. Beyond technical skills, adaptability, collaboration, and a willingness to learn are now highly valued by employers in this evolving landscape,” commented Pavlo Deshchynskyy, N-iX Chief Operating Officer.
As the primary partner of the report, N-iX contributed expertise from its thought leaders, covering topics such as emerging roles in AI, the future of IT architecture, and salary trends for data engineers and .NET developers. For example, Yaroslav Mota, Solutions Architect and Head of AI at N-iX, addressed the question of which professions may disappear and which will emerge and endure in the industry. He shared: “As IT grows, we’ll need more professionals who can connect technical skills with business goals, sо while some old IT jobs may disappear, AI is creating new opportunities for those who can adapt. The future belongs to professionals who can use AI to solve complex problems and create value in new ways.”
