Founded over 25 years ago, our client is a large mobile network operator that provides innovative services that combine banking operations with mobile communications.
The client aimed to enhance their services by offering their clients personal banking services unique to the local market. They wanted to build innovative and secure personal banking mobile solutions that offer a wide range of features and comply with all required regulations.
N-iX helped the client develop personal banking mobile applications for both Android and iOS. It features contactless payments, money transfers, bill payments, loans, and cashback rewards. We built a microservices-based solution for B2C payments, such as purchase fees, utility bills, topping up phone balances, and parking payments. We integrated with an external service for personal identity verification developed by the local government. It is used during registration, as well as within the Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) functionality. We also implemented the PIN code and biometric authentication features for additional security.
Furthermore, our cybersecurity experts conducted penetration tests to ensure there are no vulnerabilities or security gaps. We followed code security best practices by integrating automated code quality checks using FindBugs, Checkstyle, OWASP, and SonarQube. We also prepared a comprehensive disaster recovery plan for both applications.
